Leigh Hackspace is running its first ever Raspberry Jam!

Raspberry Jams are a great way to find out more about the Raspberry Pi single-board computer. The event is suitable for complete novices, and we will have workshops on:

SETUP_me: setting up your Raspberry Pi for the first time
LINUX_n00bs: getting started with the Raspberry Pi's Linux based operating system
GPIO_101: getting started with the General Purpose Input/Output features of the Raspberry Pi, and simple programs

As well as worshops for newbies, for more advanced users we're also going to have discussion and demonstrations from Raspberry Pi experts, showing what you can do with these cheap and awesome computers.

All ages are welcome, we have FREE PIZZA, and we have a small coffee shop at Hackspace selling drinks and snacks.

Tickets are £3 which includes some free pizza.

If you already have a Raspberry Pi, then please bring it along, with any equipment you would need to set it up.

We will also have Raspberry Pi kits and accessories available for sale on the day, including the latest Raspberry Pi 3 computer, cases, monitors, adapters, SD cards, keyboards, mice and other things too. Proceeds go to help maintain and improve Leigh Hackspace, which is a non-profit community organisation, dedicated to making Leigh the centre of the North West Tech Universe!
