TINATA Presents:

Date and time: 20.02.13, 8pm-11pm

Location: 1st Floor, Fitzroy House

Would you like to see your lover thrown away in a bin just because his eyebrows are slightly bigger than "average"?

This month Tinata wants to tell you the story about how much delicious food goes wasted in UK and around the world every day. And to do so we have teamed up with a bunch of good people who know a lot about it!

We are working with Feeding the 5k, Best Before Project, The People's Kitchen, Bootstrap, Merci Marie and many shops and businesses to prepare a yummy four-course freegan dining experience for you. All ingredients will be saved from oblivion and combined by a chef, artists, friends, Tinata's team and why not...you! The meal will set the basis of a discussion about the reclamation and consumption of discarded food. Speakers, including Niki Charalampopoulou from feed the 5k, will uncover food myths and let us in on surprising food waste facts.

Join us at 6pm for a communal cooking session, or come straight for dinner but don't miss it!

The meal will be vegetarian/vegan

This Is Not A Take Away

TINATA - This Is Not A take Away is a curatorial project that will showcase artists and non-artists who are interested in a particular approach towards how food is sourced, prepared, served or eaten. Each first Thursday of the month a different host cook, will serve food to the guest audience while engaging in a dialogue about his/her concept-idea. From primitive palette to emotional eating, from recipes as memories to family roles dynamics, this series of events will explore the way we experience food from new and fascinating point of views.
