What is an Reconverse event?
Reconverse = Recruitment + Conversation. A Reconverse event is a meeting of thoughts and opinions based around the in-house recruitment industry,usually geared towards attraction. As of March 2013 we have held 27 events today covering a range of subjects from candidate experience, to recruitment 3.0, to employer brand and social and mobile recruiting. What topic is this event covering?
On the back of some great feedback on our innovation showcase, Recruitment, But Not As We Know It, recently held in London, we will be taking this event to on the road, with Manchester our first stop.
Overall, our industry lacks new ideas and fresh thinking. For this event, the rule book will be thrown out the window with an aim to give every delegate inspiration to take back to their business and try something imaginative within their hiring process. It can be done!
We will be bringing with us some of the most forward thinking suppliers in the market to meet in our unique speed meeting format. Then, over lunch, James Swift of Beyond Interactive will be talking through real case studies on some of the different things he is doing with his clients.
Then we will open the floor up to an "employer only" round table discussion where we will be posing discussing key issues like why do we need to innovate within recruitment? Who are the true innovators and why? What are the barriers to innovation? What are the delegates doing differently that they want to share with the round table? What suppliers are offering a truly innovative approach to market?
This will all be followed with a few drinks and a chance to network in a more relaxed environment.
How does it work?
The first part of the afternoon is a chance of employers to meet hand picked suppliers that relate to the subject of the day. Our unique speed meeting format allows employers to meet new suppliers for 10 minutes each, which is enough time to understand what they offer and if you wish to follow-up the conversation.
Then, over lunch, we invite in a number of experts to present on the subject of the day, which acts as a springboard into the round table discussion. This part of the afternoon is for in-house recruiters only and acts as a safe environment to talk openly and honestly about key issues that relate to the subject and beyond. This is peer to peer learning in it's purest form, without the fear of rogue sales people taking advantage of what is said. Following the round table, everyone reconvenes at the bar for a few drinks afterwards.
Who should attend?
If you work in-house recruitment, HR or recruitment advertising agencies at any level, these events are perfect for you and are completely free of charge to attend. There is no smoke and mirrors, we make our money from the suppliers that attend the speed meetings.
Suppliers, you have the option to purchase a supplier table for the speed meeting part of the afternoon, if we feel you are a correct fit for the event and the employers attending. We DO NOT accept bookings of any kind from recruitment consultancies. Our events are focused exclusively on in-house recruitment.
