RIBA Gloucestershire Presents:
1. Improving Collaboration in the Construction Industry
2. The Cheltenham Racecourse Project
David Pearce of Knowledge Sharing Ltd presents his innovative work on knowledge sharing in the construction industry, and how better ways of different sections of industry working closer can deliver efficiencies and better results.
Construction projects are all about sharing information and knowledge between parties, from capturing a brief, to consultants developing a scheme, to contractors building on site. Many tools have been developed with the intention of improving the flow of information, with BIM being the latest.
We believe that collaboration is about more than implementing new software, the whole process needs to be understood and bespoke solutions developed for each situation.
This workshop will present practical new models and tools for information and knowledge sharing, developed out of industry research. You will get the chance to investigate and practice them with other practitioners. These tools will help you diagnose problems within your own company and provide a framework to address them.
Joint Managing DIrector of Roberts Limbrick will start the evening with a short presentation on the New Grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse.
This is a fantastic opportunity for RIBA members in Gloucestershire to come together for an interesting, informative and entertaining early evening event. Questions and discussion will follow the presentations at this event from the RIBA in Gloucestershire.
Drinks and nibbles will be available from 5.30pm before the presentations with the opportunity for social and b2b networking. This forum is open to RIBA Members (free) and non-members (£5 cash on the door to the Architects Benevolant Society).
You cannot afford to miss this FREE event brought to you by RIBA South West, hosted by Roberts Limbrick Architects, and sponsored by Markilux.
