Event Details

Many people take on directorship of a social enterprise or co-operative without fully understanding their legal responsibilities or liabilities, but as a director it is critical that you understand what your role encompasses. A strong board of directors that is fully engaged with an organisation and providing robust scrutiny of its activities, can play a vital role in ensuring its future success. The aim of this workshop is to provide an opportunity to discuss and understand the roles and responsibilities of directors.

This seminar will provide:

  • Clarity on the role of the director

  • An opportunity to discuss the Companies Act

  • An opportunity to explore the director’s duties, both legal and fiduciary

  • Clarity on what is meant by wrongful and fraudulent trading.

Who should attend?

This workshop is suitable for those who are new to the role of director or for those who have been in position for a while, but require an update in relation to their roles and responsibilities.
