The Library is accessed via the RBGE Science Buildings at 20a Inverleith Row, Edinburgh and the 8, 23 and 27 buses all stop just outside. There is access to the Library via the Garden but this does involve a longer walk. Tea and coffee will be available in the Board Room annex from 3.15pm

The Library and Archive at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is Scotland’s national collection of botanical and horticultural literature with more than 60,000 books, the oldest of which date back to the 15th century. The collection also includes more than 4,000 journal titles, the official RBGE archives and a significant collection of botanical art. This visit will provide an opportunity to find out more about the Library and Archive and to see some of the treasures from the collections.
