Description
Beneficiary Description
This is a small village school just outside Aylesbury. We cater for children from the village and surrounding areas from a wide range of backgrounds. As a part of our continuous development we would like to improve our existing outdoor areas, so that the children can effectively use them to learn.
Description of Tasks
Plans are in development and may change slightly over the coming months however projects are likely to be
similar to those listed below:
- Put up shelves for storage in a shed so the children can access resources.
- Sand and paint a shed, playhouse and boat.
- Fix a playhouse entrance and fasten the flagpole on a boat.
- Create planting areas using planters or tyres.
- Digging of land to create allotment areas
Materials;
The school are currently sourcing materials, however any materials or tools that could be provided from the following list would be very well received.
Outdoor paint
Shelves/ planks of wood
Old tyres
Old kitchen equipment (e.g. pans, lids, spoons, colanders) to make a mud kitchen and instrument wall.
Planters
Soil
Woodchips
Seeds
Gardening tools
Large stones
Plastic tubes or guttering
Storage (large and small e.g. hanging baskets, natural boxes, sheds!)
Any tools for fixing wooden structures.
