Description

An inspiring evening for any blogger, whether you want to learn how to cover your hosting fees or just build a more vibrant community

It's hard to predict which blogs will capture the public's imagination, but this course shows how accomplished bloggers are able to refine their ideas, build a community and promote their blog organically, without losing its soul. Patrick Dalton, founder of the widely acclaimed blog and book series Shit London, offers lessons learned on his own project's journey from whimsical Facebook gag to runaway publishing success.

This stimulating evening course features tips on how to engage an audience without spamming them, as well as practical lessons in creating exciting, shareable content and maximising your blog's potential. You'll also learn about community building, including low- to no-budget ways to market your project to the right people, and how to encourage your users to become contributors. By the end of the course, you'll have built up a realistic picture of where you can take your idea, what you'll have to do to get it there, and what changes to make to get on the road.

This course is for you if...

  • You run a blog or online project you believe has potential for a bigger audience, but don't know where to take it
  • You have an idea for an online project but don't know how to knock it into a shareable shape
  • You're actively seeking opportunities to expand your blog into a mini-empire and want lessons from someone who's done it successfully
  • You think your blog should be more popular and want to know what you're doing wrong
