Self-publishing: breakfast Masterclasses with Polly Courtney
Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 7:30 AM - Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 9:30 AM (BST)
London, United Kingdom
This insightful and interactive course is for anyone interested in self-publishing their fiction or non-fiction book. You may already have a draft, and you'll certainly have an idea for the book you'd like to see published.
The course takes place over two mornings at Shoreditch House, and is an opportunity to meet other authors in a similar place to you – as well as getting invaluable insight into what publishing a book entails.
The course will cover the six components of publishing a book – fiction or non-fiction - taking participants from 'first draft' stage to getting the finished product flying off the shelves, physical or virtual:
- Title & jacket design
- Production & finance
Polly Courtney is the author of six best-selling novels. She never intended to become a writer, but discovered her passion 'accidentally', whilst penning a semi-autobiographical expose of life as a junior investment banker - a tale that went on to become her first book, Golden Handcuffs. After working with a traditional publishing house, she moved into self-publishing and is an expert in producing and promoting her own work.
Dates: Wednesday 3 and Wednesday 10 October 2012
Location: Shoreditch House, Ebor Street, Shoreditch, London, E1 6AW
