Following consultation with the Heads of Business Growth, HIE has commissioned David Gass and Ewan Ramsay of Upper Quartile to deliver ‘International Trade – the Essentials’ workshops.

The session will take place over two half days on the 22/23rd August.

  • Day 1 - 12.00 - 17.00
  • Day 2 - 09.00 - 14.00

The workshops are primarily aimed at account managers to help develop knowledge and expertise when supporting clients consider and access international markets.

The objectives of the training will be to :

  • To develop the knowledge and expertise of HIE staff in order to assist our client businesses internationalise.
  • Develop participants’ knowledge and awareness of the issues that affect companies (large and small) who are currently exporting their product and/or service or who have plans to start exporting.
  • Refresh and update existing knowledge and awareness and ensure that participants are up-to-speed on current thinking and approaches.
  • Identify how HIE/SDI can support client companies who are currently exporting or who are planning to start exporting.
  • Develop confidence in order to promote internationalisation.
