Integrated care has been an ambition for many years. New models of care have often been promoted as the “new best thing” for adoption and spread. Now the focus is all about Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and Primary Care Networks (PCN).
As applied researchers working in areas such as frailty, dementia, mental health and children’s care we will keep coming across challenges related to these new organisations and systems. This presentation will provide examples of strategies to overcome bureaucracy and methods for investigating seemingly impenetrable complex dynamic systems.
