Welcome to Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, host to the 2017 Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex.
For the past twenty seven years, The Senior Open Championship has been played over some of the best courses in the world, including Royal Lytham & St Annes, Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Royal Aberdeen, Muirfield, Royal Troon, Sunningdale, Carnoustie, Turnberry, Walton Heath and Royal Birkdale.

Under 16 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event
By Car
From M4 Junction 38 – PUBLIC, TAXI’s.
Please follow designated Championship signage to car parks which are a short walk from the course.
By Bus
There is a free shuttle bus service to the event operting Thursday to Sunday. Departing hourly from Park Dean Holiday Park, the first bus goes at 10am and the last bus leaves the course heading back to the Holiday Park at 4pm.
BY TRAIN
For all Rail journeys your destination station is BRIDGEND, approx. 8 miles (13km) from Porthcawl. Taxis journeys take on average about 20 minutes to travel from Bridgend Station to Porthcawl and are available to hail outside the front of the railway station. A local bus service is also available.

Event Mobility
Event Mobility provides electric scooters and manual wheelchairs at events nationwide for use by the disabled, elderly and mobility impaired. The Event Mobility Trailer & Tent will be located at the entrance gate. The electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are free to hire, however, a donation to the Event Mobility Charity is expected to be made.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No picnics / picnic hampers allowed
The use of mobile phones is permitted but restricted to dedicated areas only, where event signage will refer to them as “mobile phone zones”. Only in these dedicated areas can calls be made or received, however
phones must remain on silent at all times.
The use of any cameras, computers and other electronic equipment at the Tournament Thursday to Sunday is not permitted other than with the proper accreditation.Cameras are allowed during the Pro Ams on Wednesday.
Making or distributing broadcasts, commentary, news reports, data, results or statistics by any means
in any format or media including any such by mobile phone or other wireless device is not permitted.
Ticket holders consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded at the Tournament (including by
CCTV), and consent to use of any such film, image or recording at the discretion of the promoter and/
or European Tour and their licensees and partners without compensation or notice.
No dogs (other than guide dogs) or other animals are permitted on the course.
All promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive items of whatever nature including, but
not limited to, clothing, banners, signs, symbols and leaflets are prohibited.
The ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, signs, safety announcements, directions of
stewards and ground regulations whilst attending the Tournament. Breach of any of these conditions
or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the venue or
event management to revoke this ticket and to eject the holder without compensation.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Tickets are non transferable. Any transfer of this ticket will render it void.
The ticket remains the property of the Tournament at all times.
Can I update my registration information?
You can update registration prior to arrivable at venue
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printed tickets must be brought to the venue. Lost, stolen or damaged tickets cannot be replaced
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non refundable including in the event of curtailment or cancellation through adverse weather.
