£495.00Allows practitioners to develop clinical examination skills and knowledge to examine children, including issues
specific to children's history taking and presentations in primary and urgent care settings. This course includes Safeguarding Children Level 3, a requirement for nurses working in urgent care and primary care practices.
EDUCATIONAL AIMS OF THE COURSE:
• To develop skills in history taking, communication and assessment
of the sick and injured child presenting to primary care.
• Explore issues of consent, capacity and safe guarding issues
• Develop the ability to differentiate minor symptoms from red
ags and provide treatment plans or referral to other services.
• To enable practitioners to function effectively and efficiently
within the constraints of contemporary healthcare provision in
the management of minor ailments and injuries using an
evidenced based approach.
Overview of Course:
This course offers the healthcare practitioner the opportunity to update skills and condence in managing infants and children under the age of 16 presenting to primary care settings with minor ailments.
