Thursdays 4-5.30pm, Cass Art Kingston

5-9 year olds only

Book now for SketchBetter's popular after-school

Art Club for Kids, led by Artist, Designer and Positive

Psychology Coach, Kate Andrews.

SketchBetter Kids Art Club Kingston

The course will take kids on a journey through the nature of creativity and human imagination. There'll be experiments, collaborations, projects and mindfulness. Kids will learn craft skills, such as marbling and observational drawing, as well as life-long creative skills such as empowerment, resillience and innovation.

"This is the best after-school club we've ever been to!" Mother

Each class starts and ends with a mindful activity and includes group and individual elements. Children will be given their very own sketchbook and be mentored through the course to build upon an area of interest. They can bring sketchbooks to each class for feedback and encouragement - introducing them to self-directed study.

SketchBetter Kids - Story Spheres

Kids can attend the whole course, or drop in to the weekly classes (booking required and subject to available spaces). Save by booking all classes. All participating children receive 10% off materials in Cass Art on the day of attending the workshop classes.

Children must wear art outfits - mess is guarenteed! They will receive a sketchbook of their own which they'll be encourage to fill up during the term and share with Kate and the club each week. Feedback and supporting peers to develop is a key part of our lessons. Materials are all provided and water is always available for children.

Age (5yrs+)

Please note this class is for 5 year olds and over. It is a beginner's class, however we expect children to beable to be independent in class and do not advise 4 year olds to join us just yet! We are looking into doing a seperate club in 2017, for under 5's.

About SketchBetter

We believe creativity is educated out of young people today and is directly connected to the state of mental ill-health in our young adults. We’re here to show you why and to provide opportunities and educational classes on emotional literacy, mindfulness, creativity and more.

Based on the latest research in Positive Psychology we’re designing a series of new services and building collaborations as we go. We are here to bring practical services and opportunities that celebrate the importance of creativity and purpose for human well-being and happiness.

Our vision is to make life that little bit better.
