Event Details

To clarify: this is a 'freshers fair' type event. We will have some initial explanations from our contributing technologists and then a chance for people to drift around tables and talk to who interests you. This will be guided by facilitators from DCD.

Calling all those working in the field of digital solutions for social care/assisted living issues. Are you a company or entrepreneur with a product that you want others to know about?

Are you a Care Provider confused about what technology might offer but want to learn more in an informal environment? Come along and meet some local (and national with local links) companies working in this space. They want your opinion on their products.

This is not a marketing event - it is just about all parts of the sector getting to know each other and share ideas about what they want to do next. We will discuss specific projects to improve them.

Are you working on a project, but would like to hear opinions from a wider peer group? Are you interested in finding out more about cutting-edge digital technologies applied to social care and independent living? If so, the Social Care Technology Demo Day will be a brilliant opportunity to learn, get inspired, share ideas and network.

This event, organised by Digital Creativity in Disability, the official co-ordinator for the e-health cluster of Liverpool Vision, in conjunction with OpenLabs, will feature Liverpool IT developer RedNinja's Lee Omar, discussing his company's new tablet-based HelpingHand product. The managing director of Sussex-based social care programming firm ReallyCare CIC, Mark Chapman, will also be there to talk about Plait, his revolutionary software tool for managing multiagency and client relations in social care.

Now joining us: Citrus Suite to talk about their award winning health apps and some very exciting but rather hush-hush developments, and the leading social mobilisation company SoMoCo and their intriguing timeline software designed from within the social care sector and for its needs.

If you want to be one of the presenting companies: the more the merrier. Email me and we will include you. This is also available for freelancers and pre-start-ups. If you have an idea you want to test out before moving forward this is a good first step.

For Social Care Organisations:We might just suggest a few ways to get through the zero-based review! And is a fun and informal way to get to grips with technology.

The event is scheduled for 16th September 2013. It will begin at 10:00AM and continue until a break for free lunch (networking opportunities also provided!) at 13:00PM. We will reconvene at 14:00PM, with the event finishing at 16:00.

This event is supported by Liverpool Social Care Partnership and OpenLabs.
