Are you working on a project that uses the internet and digital tech to tackle a big social challenge?
If you’re looking for early-stage funding and are thinking of applying for our Social Tech Seed programme, but don’t know if your project is what we are looking for, come and join us in Birmingham!
Tuesday 4th October 2016, 10.30 – 15.30
Innovation Birmingham Campus
6 Holt Street
Birmingham Science Park Aston
Our Social Tech Seed fund opens for applications on 22nd September 2016. The programme offers entrepreneurial organisations early-stage investment - up to £50k – plus business support to develop innovative projects harnessing the power of the internet and digital technologies to deliver significant social change. Social Tech Seed supports projects tackling pressing social challenges such as the environment and sustainability, education, employment and healthcare.
Before investing time applying, why not register for our event at iCentrum in Birmingham to discover how well your project fits the bill? It's a great opportunity to find out more about our Social Tech Seed programme and what we will be looking for in successful applications, as well as a chance for you to ask us your questions.
The event will kick-off at 10.30am, with a short presentation at around 11.00am about the Social Tech Seed investment programme, followed by a number of 1:1 sessions with our team members to discuss your ideas. Once you have booked your place, we will email you with the agenda for the day and offer you the opportunity to book your 1:1 session with one of the team. Please be aware that 1:1 sessions are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
There will also be the opportunity to network and talk to the other ventures in the room over lunch and hear from projects who have previously been awarded Nominet Trust funding.
We look forward to seeing you there!
