A Christmas nativity like no other will bring Brighton to life this December with the inaugural performance of Soul By The Sea’s The Nativity, a play about one of the world’s most recognised stories.
James Burke-Dunsmore, director of The Nativity and a highly regarded professional actor that has portrayed the part of Jesus Christ on stage, film, TV and Radio for over fourteen years, is leading a volunteer cast from Brighton to retell the story of John and Jesus’ births.
Theatre professionals have been working alongside the Brighton community to put on a truly gritty and moving performance, which is faithful to the original scripture. The cast are a mixture of denominations, backgrounds and nationalities and have been working hard to put into context the remarkable story that is so often sugar-coated.
This event will be to raise money for the other Soul by the Sea event, which takes place annually at Easter - the Soul by the Sea Passion of Christ. The Passion of Christ event is free of charge.
Doors will open at 7pm, the performances will start at 7:30pm.
Refreshments will be on sale.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKET CONFIRMATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED ON THE DOOR, SO PLEASE EITHER PRINT OUT YOUR TICKET OR SAVE IT TO YOUR PHONE. Many thanks.
Soul by the Sea
After the success of the Passion of Christ performance on Brighton’s seafront by its historic West Pier in 2011 and 2012, Soul by the Sea is now proud to announce its first ever Nativity.
