50 Hours, 10 Startups.
Our aim is to bring talent and ideas from the corporate world to the tech scene.
The startup world requires constant innovation to survive and this comes from people who know their industry inside out. This requires getting people from outside the tech world to come in with awesome ideas and develop products with designers and developers.
For techies this is an amazing opportunity to meet great entrepreneurs and get fresh ideas. Many of us in the tech world don’t have any idea of how many corporates/industries operate, a knowledge of which could have immense opportunities.
Startup ABC is about bringing raw and experience talent from outside the tech world; people who have no or little knowledge of product development but have amazing ideas. It’s an opportunity for people from all walks of life, but mainly corporate backgrounds who have had little exposure to this exciting area to learn more about it.
Held over 3 days at the Google Campus, we bring them in and get them developing and iterating over some ideas.
The best ones are picked, teams are formed and they are paired off with designers and developers to make their ideas come to life. By Sunday they all have MVP's to present to potential investors and have learned a huge amount about the technical process. It is not just a hack day or intro to the startup culture it is about showing them the technical process and wetting your appetite for more.
