Storytelling for Charities - Practical Video Storytelling Workshop

This workshop is an opportunity for you to have a go at creating a visual story using a simple digital video camera or your mobile phone.

At this workshop you will:

• Explore what makes a good story
• Plan your story using simple practical tools and techniques
• Have a go at creating your story using your phone or a simple handheld camera
• Learn how to make the best of the available video devices, apps and online tools without braking the bank
• Practice various camera techniques
• Explore the ways of sharing your story

Who is it for?

Anybody who works or volunteers for a charity. This workshop may be of particular interest to the staff and volunteers with responsibilities for communications, marketing or fundraising. No previous experience required. Please bring your smartphone with you if you have one. Some simple handheld cameras will be provided during the workshop for you to practice various techniques.
