Global Entrepreneurship Week
Strategic Networking For Entrepreneurs
Organised by: Ben Wirtz of Handy Elephant
Academia has proven over and over again that an entrepreneur’s network is strongly affects the performance of his start-up, but that social capital is not a resource by itself.
With the hype around social networks, blogs and interaction, you can now establish and keep track of more contacts than ever before – but also more than you can remain an overview of and efficiently maintain a relationship with. While you plan your business strategy and activities, working on relationships often becomes an unplanned operational task.
In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn and discuss techniques on how to make the most out of your relationship and “plan” social capital – with the same techniques which you use for planning your business. By taking a step back and planning your networking activities, you will be able to leverage the potential in your network much quicker and use the right relationships at the right time to support your growing business.
Note: This workshop is not a general introduction to networking and how to make friends – it’s a no-nonsense workshop on how to plan your network to improve the performance of your business.
