Join us at Portland College for this practical and interactive seminar, which carefully examines personal resilience and provides a valuable opportunity for reflection, discussion and the benefit of gaining increased understanding by sharing of experience.
What is Resilience?
Resilience is about maintaining a sense of well-being and being mentally strong while effectively meeting different demands and performing to the best. Therefore the aim of this seminar is to drive the negatives out of the way. The content is designed to support individuals before reaching a situation of personal distress or, for example, experiencing presenteeism* at work and to support individuals to develop an understanding of their own and others’ behaviour while developing strategies to maintain personal well-being.

- Of the circumstances that undermine resilience and the effects upon the person
- To consider risks and threats causing psychological distress
- About personal stress and how to strengthen resilience
- About interacting with others and the effects of behaviours

Jacqueline Mansell MA, BSc (Hons) Psychology. FIfL and Chartered FCIPD is a professional personal development, management, training management facilitator and trainer with over twenty years’ experience in these disciplines. In addition Jacqueline provides counselling, coaching and team development. She has a strong track record working with individuals to maximise their resilience and personal effectiveness.
The presentation will include time for your questions and answers. You will leave with information you can immediately put to use in your business and personal life.
