Sustainable Local Food Strategy: Workshop 1 (repeat) Murton
Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM (BST)
Seaham, United Kingdom
This is another opportunity to take part in the first of two workshops to enable stakeholders to contribute towards the development of a Sustainable Local Food Strategy for Co Durham. The project was launched at an event in March (see: www.durhamrcc.org.uk/letstalkaboutfood). Each of the two workshops will be repeated and run in 2 locations. If you are unable to attend this one or would prefer the alternative venue, it is also being run in Barnard Castle on 31st May (please book on www.durhamlocalfoodstrategy.eventbrite.co.uk or contact the organiser).
Registration will begin at 1.45pm. The workshop will run from 2 - 5pm, with a short tea/coffee break.
Mr Peter Norton from the Bulmer Foundation (www.bulmerfoundation.org.uk) will be joining us to share his experiences of undertaking a similar project in Herefordshire - the only place where a Food Strategy has been attempted on a county (rather than city) level.
Parking is available at the rear of the building.
