About this event

This meeting is now sold out. However, you can sign up to be added to the waiting list in case any more spaces become available. Alternatively, you can watch the entire symposium being livestreamed on YouTube: https://youtu.be/TQoY1ARJ7mQ

The meeting details have been sent out to registered delegates in two emails dated 19 March and 22 March. If you did not receive these emails, please contact coordinator@repro.cam.ac.uk.

The second Anne McLaren Symposium will be held online on Tuesday 23 March 2021. It follows a successful meeting held last December at the Wellcome Trust and adopts the same format in that each 15-minute talk will be followed by 15 minutes of general discussion. The theme for this second meeting again emphasises translational bioscience in its widest sense, this time with a focus on synthetic gametes, and once again drawing on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives.

Speakers include: Thorsten Boroviak (Cambridge), Robert Bud (Science Museum), Sarah Chan (Edinburgh), Mary Herbert (Newcastle), Naoko Irie (Cambridge), Emily Jackson (LSE), Amarpreet Kaur (Cambridge), Robin Lovell-Badge (Francis Crick Institute), Noémie Merleau-Ponty (CNRS/Cambridge), Azim Surani (Cambridge) and Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz (Cambridge)

The meeting will be held on Zoom and joining details will be sent to delegates a few days beforehand. Tickets for joining the meeting on Zoom are limited, but the whole programme will be livestreamed so it is accessible to anyone who can't join the Zoom meeting. Recordings of sessions will also be available on YouTube afterwards.
