Routes

Extended

The extended route is the longest and most challenging of the three routes and takes on 50 miles of cycling fun! This route matches the standard route but includes extra mileage as you take in more of London's sites. Limited places available. Start times limited to 8.00-10.00am. Only open to confident and experienced cyclists over 16.

Standard

The standard route is our tried and tested classic Thames Bridges Bike Ride cycling route. This favourite takes on 16 bridges, covers 33 miles and starts in Southwark Park and finishes in Hurst Park.

Family

Our family friendly route starts at pit stop 3 at Ham Common and is a pleasant 8 mile route finishing in Hurst Park. This route is open to cyclists of all ages although any cyclists under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Sponsorship

There is no minimum sponsorship target for the 2014 event, however the registration fee only covers the cost of running the event so we rely on the sponsorship raised by all our cyclists to help continue our vital work in stroke services, research and campaigns. For the 2014 event we are asking all cyclists to aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship, but don't worry, we will provide you with plenty of fundraising ideas to help get you started!

You can add any amount towards this recommended £100 sponsorship to your registration if you wish - just tick the box!

Start Times

The first riders will leave the start area at 8.00am and will continue every 30 minutes until 11.30am.

Those cyclists registering for the extended route will be asked to select a start time between 8.00am and 10.00am.

Finish Area

Once again Hurst Park will be the location of our finish area and this is a great place to relax with friends and family once you have completed your challenge! With food and drink available to buy and music and entertainment for you to enjoy you can really make a day of it!

Cycling Tops

Every cyclist will receive an event T-shirt as part of their registration but like last year we will also be offering the option to purchase a cycling jersey too!

Organiser

Stroke Association

Stroke Association is the major stroke charity in the UK.

We work with people who share our commitment to changing the world for people affected by stroke - with stroke survivors and their families; with decision makers; with researchers and medics; as well as with our supporters.

Together we will get stroke the attention it deserves.

We believe that stroke can and should be prevented; and we believe in the power of research to save lives.

We know that with our support people can and do recover well. These beliefs drive us forward to change the world for people affected by stroke.
