Mindful Movement is an alternative approach to Mindfulness training that uses the moving body as the primary meditative tool – making it one of the easiest and most powerful ways to integrate Mindfulness into your everyday life.

A unique blend of Mindfulness, Martial Arts practices and up to the minute Neuroscience - this insightful and energizing workshop explores the fascinating links between Mindfulness, movement and the brain. The afternoon will include a mix of theory, discussion and practical exercises. You will learn how to:
- Meditate anytime, anywhere – whilst on the move
- Tap into your brain’s neural circuits in a new and profound way
- Achieve an alert mind in a relaxed body – the optimum state of being
Suitable for all levels including:
- Busy people with limited time for formal practice
- Those who struggle with more traditional seated meditations
- People who want to deepen or expand an existing Mindfulness practice
This is NOT an exercise class requiring any particular level of fitness. It is a Mindfulness training workshop that uses very gentle movement exercises to illustrate key learning points.
About the Trainer
The Art of Mindful Movement workshop is led by Dr. Tamara Russell Phd, D.Clin Psych - clinical psychologist, neuroscientist, leading Mindfulness trainer and author of, ‘Mindfulness in Motion’ Dr. Tamara is visiting lecturer at Kings College London, has been in dialogue with his Holiness the Dalai Lama, and speaks regularly on mindfulness around the globe, appearing on stage, television and radio. drtamararussell.com

Location & Timings
The workshop will take place on Saturday 12 November 2016 (1 – 5pm) at the Anatomy Museum, King’s College London, Strand Campus, WC2R 2LS.
On entering the building via the main entrance on the Strand, you will be greeted by a member of our team, who will direct you to the room located on the sixth floor.
The Anatomy Museum is available from 12.45pm. The workshop will start promptly at 1pm and run until 5pm. There will be a break midway through the afternoon. Refreshments are available at the local cafes situated in Somerset House. Please also feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
We regret there is no wheelchair access to The Anatomy Museum. We will be hosting future talks in other locations with full access.

Cost & Payment
This workshop is produced the Art of Mindfulness. We want to make it available to as many people as possible, so we are offering a number of concessionary rate places on a first come, first served basis (for unemployed, and students). Please be prepared to provide proof of status on arrival.
