SPEAKERS PROFILES:

Keynote: David Tovey, Principled Sell

David Tovey is the author of Principled Selling and a popular writer and speaker. His mission is to demonstrate how selling ethically, with integrity and a conscience can help build a better more profitable business in a way that both seller and buyer will always find comfortable. The Principled approach takes out any need for cold calling or sales ‘techniques’, removing any suggestion of manipulation from the sales process.

David and his colleagues have helped hundreds of blue chip companies and professional service firms around the world to increase top line profitable growth by focusing on Principled Selling and Principled Leadership.

Juliet Blackburn, UK MD, Grupo Consultores

Juliet Blackburn is managing director at Grupo Consultores UK. Previously she was head of digital at AAR and consumer marketing director at Skype. She heads up responsibility for the UK version of agencyScope, GC's survey on agency performance and market perception of them.

According to a survey by the agency monitoring research company, one in four UK marketing directors are not impressed with their agencies. Juliet will share other insights during her presentation.

Pecha Kucha session:

What is Pecha Kucha?

PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where each speakers show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and they talk along to the images.

Topic: Differentiate or Die.

This Pecha Kucha session purposely brings together a mix of presenters. Speakers include MD's from well-known agencies, freelancers, an ex-editor, regional creatives and an illustrator.

Each presenter has been chosen as a result of their original approach to attracting new clients. Their presentations will inspire you to think differently about how to 'sell' to prospective clients.

The Art of New Business

The Art of New Business is a collaborative network of like-minded individuals set up by Karla Morales-Lee and Sarah Bradley. Our focus is on finding new ways of winning business, and giving support and advice to each other. We run events in London and Manchester for new business executives, managers and directors working in the creative sector. For each event we select speakers who can inspire our network to think differently about what they do and how to do it. We want to lead the search for ‘a better way’. That means better people, better processes, better tools and better results. Bringing in new business for your agency can often be a lonely, high pressured job, so this network has been set up to support and inspire those of you facing daily pressure to bring in new business, often in silo from the rest of their organisation.
