What it means to be a charity trustee

This event is specifically designed for pro bono supporters who are currently serving on a board or thinking of taking on a board role. In addition, the event is perfect for existing trustees already serving on the board of one of Inspiring Scotland's supported organisations (due to capacity restrictions I'd ask that only one trustee from each charity registers to attend).

Burness Paull will present on the legal aspects of a trustee role with a particular focus on how legislation and regulation applies to charities. Wylie & Bisset will then highlight some of the key financial metrics to monitor within charity accounts and discuss some of the current pertinent issues.

The aim of the event is to expand the knowledge of trustees and improve the quality of board room conversations and decision-making.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A, and there will be an opportunity for networking with drinks and nibbles.

The presentation will start at 5.30pm sharp.
