Dancers, artists and curious explorers welcome! Come with an open mind, and be prepared to be surprised in this gallery-based dance workshop led by professional tutor Gerry Turvey.
Taking place within the gallery space of our new exhibition Martin Froy & the Figurative Tradition, this dance workshop will give participants the opportunity to process visual information through physical interpretation of the art works.
Movers and curious explorers of all levels are invited to take part in this playful workshop, which will use abstract shapes and forms within the figurative artworks from which to develop ideas. There will be guided exercises, some drawing and writing as well as open-ended tasks that will inspire group and individual pieces of choreography.
