Uncovering new Parkinson’s treatments: What’s next?

Parkinson’s UK is holding a free lecture at the world famous Royal College of Surgeons.

Parkinson’s drugs aren’t good enough. They don’t stop, slow down or reverse the condition - they just mask it for a time. And they can have distressing side effects.

Right now, we're at a tipping point. With decades of research, we've unlocked key discoveries that could transform lives.

In this year’s lecture we’ll share the latest from one of the most promising therapies currently being investigated for Parkinson’s - our ground breaking GDNF trial.

And we’ll tell you about our bold plan for developing more new and better treatments for Parkinson’s faster through our virtual biotech. Because we won’t wait any longer.

We are thrilled to be featuring Dr Alan Whone of Frenchay Hospital who is the Chief Investigator leading the GDNF study, alongside a trial participant who will be talking about their experience of being part of the project. Following the talk, our panel of experts will take part in a Q and A session.
