The Hilly Hundred 2016
Sunday, 25 September 2016 from 08:00 to 19:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The CoppaFeel! Hilly Hundred is returning to the hills of Cornwall this September! We’re very excited to announce that this year we’re partnering up with our friends at the Eden Project, where the ride will start and finish.
This time, you can choose between two hilly routes - the Hilly 100 miles or the Hilly 100 km. Both distances will take place in one day so be prepared!
Our new event still contains all the magic and fun of previous events, which incorporates Cornwall’s most breathtaking scenery, the iconic Eden Project Biomes, endless support on route and lots and lots of hills!
This is what you can look forward to at the Hilly Hundred 2016:
- 1 night of camping at the Eden Project campsite* (optional)
- The opportunity to cycle around the Rainforest Biome at the Eden Project
- Free entry into the Eden Project for family and friends on 24th and 25th September
- A sports massage
- Plentiful snacks to keep you fuelled along the way
- A limited edition event t-shirt
- A Cornish pasty and a pint when you finish
- A medal to prove you did it!
- A weekend of guaranteed fun
The entrance fee includes the above. We ask that each entrant into the 100mile event raises a minimum of £250 (excl giftaid) and £175 for the 100 km event.
Here’s what 2015 looked like:
What others have been saying....
“Camaraderie, stunning countryside, carefully chosen routes, my new cycling buddy, new friendships the laughter (I haven't laughed that much for a very long while)...”
“The best part was the people. It's like cycling with mates. Everyone helps each other...”
“Very impressive, not like any other sports event I have ever taken part in, so many more personal touches...”
You need to be reasonably fit to take part in this bike ride as the route includes some very steep hill climbs. Some of the route will include some off road trails, which are not particularly suited to road bikes. However, an alternative route for road bikes will be available. Your bike needs to be in good working order.
We will be setting out early on Sunday morning so if you're travelling from afar, we recommend staying the night before.
*You have the choice of camping on the Saturday or Sunday night at the Eden Project campsite, which is near the start of the event. Please note that campervans and motorhomes aren't allowed on the campsite and cars will need to be parked in the car park. Please let us know if you wish to camp there.
