The impact of technology on the future of work and what that means for HR and workforces

Event Details:

David is a frequent and well respected commentator on progressive HR and business issues and, on this occasion, will be discussing his thoughts on the hugely topical and thought provoking issue of automation, technology and ethics.

His talk will cover areas including:

1. The potential impact of automation and machine learning on the workplace
2. Varying scenarios around the potential impact of that on HR and the broader economy
3. The ethics of the connected workplace - quantified self, wearable tech and predicative analytics
4. The consequent challenges for HR as a profession

And above all, how can we ensure that the future of work is human.

Speaker: David D'Souza

David is the CIPD’s Head of London and Head of Engagement (Branches). Recently described by Workplace Insight magazine as “one of the UK’s most influential HR and workplace commentators”, he is a respected speaker and writer on progressive work practices.. 

David has expertise on a wide range of areas, including organisational development, learning & development, talent and performance management, technology, employee engagement and working environments. 

Prior to joining the CIPD, David worked as an independent Organisational Development Consultant, having held previous roles as Head of People Development at Metrobank and in various HR positions for an international FS firm.

Times:  6.30pm for 7pm until approx 8.30pm

Tea and coffee at the start and buffet at the end for extra networking.
