Having built up a formidable 20-year career as a city lawyer; Casely-Hayford was the first Black female to be made partner of a city law firm in the UK. She is now company secretary and chief legal head of Waitrose and John Lewis and is an undisputed leader in the UK law sector.
is one of the rare people who have crossed over from child star (Grange Hill) to adult success as ‘Hattie Tavernier’ in Eastenders and then went on to sign a record deal with BMG achieving six top 20 hits and selling a million records with ‘Sweetness’, being the biggest. Gayle has also had various roles in film and theatre and has recently branched into writing; she released her first book; ‘Pride and Premiership’ in May 2011.
was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica; Rev Hudson-Wilkin was ordained deacon in 1991 and then ordained to the priesthood in 1994. She presently serves as a priest in Hackney and in 2007; appointed as a Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen and in 2010, became the first (Black) female appointed to the position of the 79th Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons. In this role she leads the daily prayers in the House of Commons and carries the responsibility of pastoral care of both the MPs and staff of the Palace of Westminster. Rev Hudson-Wilkin is seen as a leading contender to become one of the Anglican Church’s first women bishops.
is the clinical director of the London Smiling Dental Group and the official dentist of the Channel 4 TV programme; ’10 Years Younger’. As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine she is also a board member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and also on their Accreditation Committee. She was voted Vogues’s ’hottest new dentist’ and was one of only three recommended UK Dentists in Tatler’s Cosmetic Surgery Guide. She runs three busy London practices in Harley Street, Goodge Street and Gloucester Road and has set up the UCAN foundation with her husband; Dr Chidi Ngwaba, a medical with its aim is to mentor disadvantaged kids and help them achieve their best.
Miss Samantha Tross MBBS, FRCS, FRSC Ed, FRSC Ed, FRCS Ed (Tr& Orth)
is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in treating conditions of the Hip and Knee. She is the first Black female in her field to become a consultant in the UK and also one of 5% of female orthopaedic consultant surgeons practicing in the UK. Tross uses her experience to mentor aspiring surgeons and would love to see more women consider a career in Orthopaedic Surgery.
The I’mPOSSIBLE. conversation is a series of intimate events staged in central London where a panel of British women of colour, from all walks of life, come together, to share their stories on the theme of ‘how I became POSSIBLE.’ It’s a purely inspirational and empowering event which gives a platform for British women of colour an opportunity to share their journey on how they became POSSIBLE. with no interruptions or apologies.

I’mPOSSIBLE. is a UK registered social enterprise whose primary aim is to celebrate, connect, highlight, and promote the achievements of women of colour, globally.
Its secondary aim is to educate and empower this group by showcasing their successes, life stories and testimonies as well as provide tools to success, signposting organisations and information that will help you get there.
Thirdly, I’mPOSSIBLE. will network organisations, events, information and news as well as create conversations within the community on issues that will be of interest or affect women of colour in Britain through its website, social media platforms and specially created events.
