Event Details

The next London Rugby Business Network event will be held on Wednesday September 4th in fabulous Sloane Street in the exclusive Baku restaurant and bar between 6pm and 8pm. This will be a great opportunity for companies to meet likeminded business people with a passion for rugby with the aim of helping each other in business and in life.

 Baku

This will be the week that the English Premiership kicks off for the 2013/14 season with the Double Header opener at Twickenham where the 4 big London clubs play each other, so let's start the season with a great night of networking and rugby chat!

00Lorraine Rooney

We are very lucky to have Lorraine Rooney as our main speaker. Lorraine has been Head of Marketing at Harlequins Rugby Club for the past six seasons, with one of her key projects being the record breaking Big Game series. Lorraine has also been part of Harlequins' most successful period both on and off the pitch and has been involved in an unprecedented improvement in brand advocacy for Quins. Lorraine has recently set up her own sports marketing consultancy advising sports organisations and brands on how to establish and deliver large scale sports events and leverage brands to maximise revenue potential. Lorraine is highly regarded within European rugby circles and the world of sports marketing. Anyone involved in marketing or event planning for their business or organisation will benefit from hearing about Lorraine’s experiences.

Jolly Hogg

Our second  guest speaker is Olly Kohn. Olly has just announced his retirement due to injury so we are sure he will have some interesting thoughts on what life after rugby will hold for him. The big Bristol born lock has had a fantastic couple of seasons over which he won the Aviva Premiership and got capped for Wales in a Championship winning year. Olly is already involved in the successful hog roast company The Jolly Hog with his two brothers and is one of the few modern day players who balances his commitments to a growing business with a successful rugby career.

We look forward to meeting up with you at what, we are sure, will be a very successful and enjoyable evening.

The Rugby Busness Network is a not for profit organisation supported globally by HSBC.
