About Toon Times
Toon Times has been commissioned by the club’s official registered charity, Newcastle United Foundation, in partnership with Tyne & Wear Archives and Museums and is the showpiece of the Toon Times educational programme, which is being delivered by the Foundation to 15,000 children across 430 Tyneside schools.
Funded by the Premier League PFA Community Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and by North East supply-teaching agency First Class Supply, the three-year programme improves the literacy and learning techniques of children through the use of historic artefacts, props and re-enacting famous Magpies moments.
