Music associated with the Elizabeth I & Her People exhibition.

Led by Artistic Director, Gregory Batsleer, the National Portrait Gallery’s Portrait Choir is hosting its first ever singing day. In this first event participants will explore and sing choral music closely associated to the forthcoming Elizabeth I & Her People exhibition. The programme will include the exploration of the music, a performance in a Gallery space, as well as a talk from a Gallery Curator on the role of music in the Elizabethan period. The aim of the day is to provide an opportunity for singers of all voice types and abilities to get together and sing in a unique setting and learn more about the music of the period.

Some ability to read music is recommended, but is not essential. When booking please select the appropriate voice type; Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass. If you are unsure which to book please contact lcronin@npg.org.uk

Included in the price for the day is a free ticket to the Elizabeth I & Her People exhibition as well as a token for light refreshments.
