FareShare South West
FareShare South West is a charity that works with food manufacturers, distributors and retailers to redistribute surplus food so that it can be used to feed vulnerable people in the UK. Thousands of tonnes of good, in-date food goes to waste every year whilst millions of people in our country go hungry. This is a terrible situation and FareShare exists to help create a new, fairer, more efficient supply chain for mass produced food. In Bristol, FareShare South West redistribute around 75,000 meals every month to over 100 organisations that suport refugees, homeless people, vulnerable youngsters, the elderly and other groups at risk of hunger and malnutrition.
FareShare South West use around 1% of the food that they receive for fundraising activities. The Surplus Supper Club is one of these activities. The sumptuous feasts that the Surplus Supper Club servces are made almost exclusively from ingredients that were destined to be needlessly wasted. You'll be amazed that food this good could ever go to waste. Book a table and see for yourself!
