About this event

UK Theatre and SOLT have successfully applied for a Government Brexit Business Readiness Grant which is specifically given to help businesses prepare for the possibility of a No-Deal scenario.

UK Theatre and SOLT are using this grant to run two types of session ('General' and 'Specialist') to help theatre and performing arts organisations prepare for the possibility of a No-Deal Brexit. The sessions are open to any UK theatre and/or performing arts organisation or individual working professionally in theatre (not just SOLT and UK Theatre members). These sessions are free to attend.

All sessions will:

  • Equip attendees to plan for their business to exit the EU under a No-Deal;
  • Provide an overview of the broader impact of exiting the EU;
  • Give attendees an opportunity to ask questions of experts and share information with each other;
  • Sign-post attendees to other relevant sources of information to help them prepare.

This 'General' session will be delivered by experts covering the key areas that the sector identified were of importance in terms of leaving the EU. They will include information on:

  • Movement of people (short term and longer term, including immigration)
  • Movement of freight (sets, equipment etc)
  • Supply Chain (FMCG goods)
  • IP (copyright and trade marks) and Data
  • Q&A with Panel.

Please use this link to see the full list of sessions. 'General' sessions will be held in Manchester, London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham.

In addition to the 'General' sessions, there will be two 'Specialist' sessions in London which will help companies whose business focus is touring, both importing and exporting work and workforce to and from the EU. We will be filming the presentations from our 'Specialist' sessions so that anyone who cannot attend will be able to access the footage on our website.

All take place before 31 October.

Please can we ask that organisations book a place for one representative only.
