Event Details

This is a chance for all women and their families who are interested in the idea of having their baby at home to come along and find out a bit more about Birmingham Women’s dedicated homebirth team. The latest research suggests that for many women, home is the safest place to give birth, and yet many families haven’t considered it as an option.

Sessions are held by midwives from the homebirth team, and all women who are booked at Birmingham Womens Hospital, and are expecting to have a normal birth, are encouraged to consider having a homebirth. Booking for homebirth widens your options for birth, as you are free to change your mind at any point.

Come along, ask questions, discover the family-centred approach the Homebirth Team takes to care,  find out about why home might just be the best place for you, and explore our offer of a birth pool for every woman who wishes to use a pool at home. You also get to hear about the birth stories of women who have delivered at home with the team, air any concerns or just find out more.
