Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (BST)
Manchester, United Kingdom
The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on so we're coming out to play!
With the rise in temperature, what could be better than a cream tea to help welcome the summer and celebrate. All are welcome to our scone laden feast of fun; if inspiration strikes to bake a cake, then by all means bake and share!
The Teawitter Party (#teawitter) is an excuse for Manchester's lovers of things tea (and coffee!), cake and Twitter related to get together and swap tales, put names to faces and enjoy the best in home made confection! It's a social gathering, a way to meet friends old and new, and build on the thriving tea party Twitter community!
The afternoon doesn't end after the cream tea though. Sweet Mandarin are kindly opening their doors from 5pm for teawitters and twitterers to congregate and tweet-up in the sun!
Food will be provided, but feel free to contribute if you feel like baking. However be aware there is no refrigeration at the venue so make sure you take this into account if using ingredients like fresh cream.
If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.
Please note this event carries a suggested donation of £3.
