HG Captail To the Tower and finish by the Mayflower

Jump into our stable double kayaks and our guides will paddle you with the tide from Greenwich, passing the Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf, and Wapping to the world famous Tower Bridge! Then onward to The Tower of London, turning at London Bridge, passing HMS Belfast and with the tide in our favour whisking us back to Greenwich. Seeing the Thames at its best and some of it most famous and landmarks.

Trip suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners. The length of the trip including kit-up time approximately 3 hours. All equipment is included just dress warmly for the day. The trip is for Adults Only. London Kayak Company is an approved British Canoeing paddlesports provider and compliant with the Port of London Authority.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

The event is for adults only.

Where will my event start and Finish

Your trip will start and finish opposite Greenwich on the Isle of Dogs where will meet you. The location which is the slipway across the road from the Great Eastern Pub on Saunder Ness Rd E14 3BW, which is on the Isle of Dogs.

Transport Options?

We are 5 minutes walk from Island Gardens DLR, or if you are coming from
Greenwich DLR just use the foot tunnel and we are 3 minutes from the Northside the entrance of the tunnel.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring comfortable clothes to paddle in, dress for the weather including a pair of training shoes you don't mind getting muddy. We supply all equipment including good quality waterproofs. It is always advisable to bring a complete change of clothes. We have no toilet facilities at our launch site so it's advisable to use ones on the route, before you get to us at Saunderness.
