UK ORCID members meeting and launch of the Jisc consortium

This free event is aimed at universities who have joined (or are about to join) the UK ORCID consortium organised by Jisc. It is organised jointly by members of the community and Jisc and hosted by Imperial College London.

Aims of the meeting:

• to raise awareness and understanding of ORCID and the Jisc consortium offer and benefits
  
• to bring together the UK ORCID community and establish how we want to work together
• to discuss community expectations for system and platform providers, funders and publishers
• to inform the Jisc technical and community support offering

Event preparation and participation:

To facilitate discussions, participants (as well as members of the community who cannot attend) are invited to share expectations and requirements regarding ORCID integration, systems, policies and support via an online document. The document will inform discussions on the day, with a view to reach an agreement on how to engage with partners such as publishers, funders, CRIS and repository providers etc.

Registration:

The event is restricted to one representative per university. Lunch will be provided.

Location:

The event will take place at the Dining Hall at Beit Quad, Library at Imperial College London (building #1).
