HEART is delighted that our partner, University of Leeds, is offering a Foster Family Learning Day specifically designed for the whole foster family.


Families are invited to sign up for a free two hour workshop, suitable for all ages, of a variety of hands on engineering activities. Taking place at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Leeds, families will get to learn about the engineering process with practical activities including making your own gabion basket (an international product manufactured here in Leeds), building a pyramid, trying out some basic electronics and trying to work out what the engineering examples are.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are no age requirements, but we do ask you to state the ages for those attending in order for the event delivery to be targeted to its audience.

Will lunch be provided?

Unfortunately lunch is not provided and you will need to bring your own lunch if required.
