Description

The Section for New Professionals and the Section for Business Records are hosting a joint event at the Marks & Spencer Company Archives in Leeds.

The event will run from 13:00-4:30pm, with registration starting at 12:40. The focus of the afternoon will be on businesses and 'unusual archives' e.g. objects, artefacts and curiosities found within business collections. The event will feature short talks from business archivists sharing their experiences of working with the unusual and the unexpected. Speakers will be announced closer to the event date.

There will also be a short tour of the M&S Company collections, and refreshments - including a sandwich lunch and tea and coffee - will be provided free of charge.

This is an excellent opportunity for new professionals and business archivists to meet and share knowledge, informal networking will be held at a pub following the event.

Photographs may be taken during the event for use by the sections on social media/blog posts, please make it known if you wish to be excluded.
