As technical writers / communicators a cross we have to bear whether we like it or not, is that by default we are the resident Word experts. This despite many of us using different tools to create our perfectly crafted high quality documents. Mike Mee will show us how he uses Word macros to automate the many repetitive tasks he is asked to do when tidying up documents. Initially starting with simple tasks that can be recorded he will show us how he eventually uses the macro capability of Word to carry out complicated tasks in seconds that would take an author several hours.
About the Speaker: Mike Mee has been technical author for over 10 years and is currently at CDL. He works in a range of tools including, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and Visio), RoboHelp, Trello and Axure. This is all mixed in with common-sense and Plain English.
