Victoria (repeat of walk on 14 August)
Wednesday, 7 August 2013 from 14:00 to 16:00 (BST)
London, United Kingdom
In this walk we look at the area around Victoria and the fascinating story of how it was transformed from open fields to its present vibrant 21C status. Gems from its hidden past include a brewery, a prison on the site of which is now a cathedral, an 18C school, a canal basin that became a railway station and the site of the suffragette parliament. Led by Alan MacDougall of City Highlights.
This walk is a repeat of the walk on 14 August.
