Event Details

This is a fascinating visit to the British Library Sound Archive and studio complex. Thursday the 1st of March 2012. There is no charge for this event.

13:30 - 13:45 IPS visitors to arrive at the Information Desk and are take to the Foyle Learning Centre. Late comers will be directed there by Information Desk staff.

14:00 - 15:30 Richard Ranft, Head of Sound & Vision, will give a brief welcome before the talk by Nigel Bewley, British Library Sound Archive Operations Manager. The topic is "Fakes and Forgeries", with sound illustrations, to be followed by a general Q&A session.

15:30 Visitors taken to Technical Services for a tour of the studios.

16:30 Visit ends.

There is a maximum of 30 visitors for this event. After the presentation the attendees will be split into 3 groups of 10.
