Weekend Sailing with RCSSC

Welcome to RCSSC weekly calling notice for Saturday and Sunday and future weekends up until 1 Nov 2015. Let's hope we have an Indian Summer.

Eventbrite bookings will now close 18 hours (previously one day) before the event is due to start. This allows helms to contact crews and organise sailing and also folks to get the very latest weather forecast before booking.

Contact details have been updated and ciruclated recently, please ensure yours are up to date e.g. your helm may need to contact you on sailing day or vice versa.

The bookings are now set as private and there should be no need for a special invitation. This prevents the public bookings we recently had and should allow you to book your sailing that bit more easily :j

How to book?

1. Click on attend
2. Use the drop down to select the date you require.
3. Register your details - follow the template
4. You will receive an automatic confirmation once you have completed input

Who else is sailing that day? Just page down on the booking form and you will see who has already booked-in. Blank means you are the first. Don't be put off, some folks leave it quite late.

You will receive an automatic confirmation of your booking. If you don't, please ensure you check your name appears on the list. If not, you will need to rebook.

Can I cancel my booking? Yes. Just go to your confirmation email and click on the link and select the actions drop down menu to cancel - please do not select delete.

Club Rules - You should have a copy fo the Club Rules, if not please contact me and I will email you a copy. Key points for sailing:

• No sailing without a qualified and RCSSC helms approved helm.
• The helm is responsibile for overall safety, organisation of the boat and crew. Please follow their direction - thank you for sailing safely.

Missed the booking-in deadline and want to sail? Check out Eventbrite and check out the ratio of crew to helms. If you think there may be room for you, then contact the helm for the day - see the telephone contact list.

Please Note : Saturday is a Committee Meeting morning andt therefore Saturday sailing will be limited to the afternoon.
