Workshop: Thinking Tools for Agile Coaches - CANCELLED
Wednesday, 4 December 2013 from 08:30 to 16:30 (MST)
Come to this workshop to pick up some new thinking tools. A thinking tool is an approach you can use to surface a mental model and to make it easier to see intervention points. We’ll be covering practical techniques that can be used to explore a problem on your own and how to adapt these techniques to use in workshops with teams and stakeholders. Our workshop is designed to be a hands-on workshop with practical exercises so you get to try out the techniques yourself.
This workshop is designed for Agile Coaches who would like to help individuals or groups identify potential actions for change. We will use the thinking tools to explore topics relevant to coaching such as trust building and motivation.
The workshop has presentations on each new thinking tool interleaved with practical exercises so that all participants have a chance to practice the techniques as they are explained and ask questions. We'll cover the following topics:-
• PrOpER cycle –option thinking for coaches
• Force Field Analysis – how to kickstart an improvement backlog
• Influence Charts – understanding system effects and archetypes
• MindMaps revisited – getting more from visual maps
• Clinic – applying thinking tools to challenges coaches face and how to overcome them
This workshop provides an opportunity to add new tools to your coaching toolkit and practice them in a safe environment with other agile coaches.
