" LEADERSHIP SKILL AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION!"
28th September 2016 from 17.30pm - 20.30pm
Presentation Overview: An Introduction to Effective Communication & Great Leadership:
Leadership is an attribute that is often shrouded in mystery and frequently people are placed in leadership roels when they have no idea what leaders truly do.
Modern leadership is moving away from the 'command and control' ideal and the role has become more focused on how to unlock the power and potential of those around you. People want to be respected and valued, the great leader recognises this and is self-aware enough to encourage and develop the strengths of others to achieve the goals of the organisation.
You don't have to be a 'born leader' and sucess can be delivered from your own current skill set. There are certain elements that all leaders do well, such as, communicating effectively with others and by developing these you can improve your chances of becoming a great leader.
This 2 hour workshop will help you reflect on making the best of who you are and help you understand how to create an environment where those around you can develop.
The key content of this session is:
1. Know who our target is
2. Identify what type of information they need
3. Recognise the best means of communication
4. Know the various techniques required to enable communication
5. Listening skills
