Learn how to take professional-standard photographs in a challenging and exciting festival environment. You'll get professional access and shoot live bands, artist and vox pop portraits, cabaret and circus performers, children's fete games and more under the expert guidance of Guardian and Observer staff photographer Katherine Rose.

During the intensive day, you'll receive short on-site tutorials and work independently through an on-going list of assignments to shoot. To ensure that you get the maximum opportunities possible, your day will be time-tabled.

Following the festival, you'll meet for an evening's feedback session in the Guardian offices on Thursday 7 May (7.30pm-9.30pm) to go over your best work and discuss what worked and why, and future steps for anyone considering taking their photography further.

This practical on-site workshop is ideal for anybody interested in taking photographs at live events, whether as an enthusiastic amateur or someone considering photography as a career. You'll have your own DSLR camera, preferably with wide-angled and zoom lenses, and be comfortable using it.

The course price includes VAT, your festival ticket, a photographer's pass with VIP access, course handouts and detailed feedback. There will be a designated area for attendees which will be looked after by a facilitator.
